Opportunities for local communities
The transition to a sustainable energy supply requires radical changes to our current fossil energy system. This can only be achieved through a combination of government policy, technological innovations, new business models and involvement of users and communities. Especially in Sub-Sahara Africa there are great opportunities for local communities to get involved in the transition to clean energy.
With our focus on Sub Saharan Africa ,we see huge potential for government policy and company strategic in the areas of:
- mini and off grid systems
- solar power
- clean cooking
- small-scale wind
- bioenergy
- biomass residues
For governments we study various possible policy options, resulting in a roadmap to the most favourable outcome. We are in favour of strategic partnerships with individual experts and partner organization with a local presence in Sub-Saharan Africa.
We can develop an innovation strategy for organizations and companies that fits in with expected market developments and anticipates future regulations and local government policy.
A few examples:
- Biomass potential in Ivory coast
- Valorising solid biomass residues in South Africa
- From waste to energy in Nigeria
