Course Designing Electronics for Recycling opens again

Designing electronics for recycling

The course Designing Electronics for Recycling in a Circular Economy has been opened again for enrollment. This free online course will start on March 16. This time it will be offered as self-paced, which means that participants can enroll now and start any time after March 16, and take the course at their own pace during 6 months.

This course supports designers, engineers and decision makers in the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) industry in making the transition towards a circular economy by exploring both Design for Recycling and Designing with Recycled plastics. Regardless of the level of design experience or familiarity of the circular economy, this course will help to either upskill or update knowledge and improve your product design and materials selection.

Course experience

The first edition of this Massive Open Online Course was organised in the autumn of 2021.  About 600 participants attended the course. Their overall score was good (8-), especially the video’s were appreciated.

Most of the learners have a master of bachelor degree and work as consultants, researchers or designers in Consumer Electronics and Service industry. They joined the course for work and career related reasons. Attendees from the Netherlands, India, Brazil, Germany and the United States made up the top 5.

Expert initiators

This course is an initiative from the Delft University of Technology, Partners for Innovation, Rijkswaterstaat and frontrunners within the EEE industry from the RE-CET (Redesigning Electronics in a Circular Economy Transition) consortium.
