Flora Poppelaars

Flora Poppelaars is a senior consultant and co-team lead of the Circular Economy team. With her background in engineering and social sciences, she advises companies, organizations and governmental agencies in their transition towards a circular economy. For instance, Flora facilitates workshops with stakeholders along value chains to develop common circular roadmaps, supports parties in quantifying their circular performance and studies opportunities at system, service and product levels. She leads a work package of the Horizon Europe project INCREACE focusing on engaging people in the circular plastics transition.

Flora Poppelaars finalized her PhD research at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands). The objective of her dissertation was to stimulate the collection of electronics by focussing on the user perspective. In parallel, Flora advised a multinational for several years. During her master, she was selected for the Schmidt MacArthur Fellowship organised by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
