CSRD – Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
CSRD – Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
Focus on the environmental impact of and on businesses
With the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU aims to establish a European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) to ensure that companies report all relevant information relating to sustainability in a way that allows for comparison between companies. We can support you with reporting on ecology and circularity.
Under the Omnibus Package, the reporting obligation for many companies has been shifted: the obligation is limited to companies with at least 1,750 employees (and additional financial thresholds). Smaller or medium-sized companies can report voluntarily. Even though the reporting rules are being relaxed or abolished, this does not mean that the social and ecological need to tackle climate change and environmental impact is disappearing. Your efforts remain valuable. Our services focus on the ecological aspects, in particular:
- Climate change mitigation
- Climate change adaptation
- Resource use
- Circular economy
- Effects on biodiversity and ecosystems
- CSRD amendment proposals
The following amendments have been proposed in the Omnibus package:
- Only companies with more than 1,750 employees and a net annual turnover of > €450 million will be required to report.
- This means that many medium-sized companies will no longer be subject to the legal obligation.
- Companies that are not subject to the obligation may report voluntarily.
- Companies may only request comprehensive ESG data from chain partners that are themselves subject to CSRD; for all others, the VSME Standard applies.
What information do you need to provide?
- Business model and strategy
- Sustainability policy
- Negative impacts of activities on sustainability

How can we support you?
For you as an entrepreneur, the CSRD means a lot of work. It also provides a wealth of information and insights to help you realize your sustainability ambitions. That is why it is never too early to start collecting the right data. Partners for Innovation can help you go through this process step by step. We support you in collecting the right information and reporting on ecological factors.
We are familiar with the latest EU regulations and understand how the various directives relate to each other, such as the ESRS, PWWR (packaging), Ecodesign Directive, and SUP Directive. We can discuss together what this means for your company.
We also have access to national and international databases relating to biodiversity and are experienced in calculating impacts on climate and natural capital.
