Rakiatou Gazibo is an agriculture, livestock and food science entrepreneurship expert. She promotes rural entrepreneurship -including agroforestry- in smallholder livelihoods settings, establishing links between both entrepreneurs, government services and financiers and with a particular concern for women and youth. She also has been instrumental in the development of the AgriProFocus network in Niger. Rakiatou has extensive experience in social and agriculture-related project development in Niger and neighboring areas. She served as national coordinator for the ‘Peace, Youth and Development’ project of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). She also worked as program officer sustainable livelihoods for Oxfam, as country coordinator for Agri-ProFocus and as an advisor on institutional and organisation development for SNV.
