Workshop Design for and from recycling
On February 2, Partners for Innovation will host the workshop Design for and from recycling. This workshop is organized in the context of INCREACE, the large-scale and multi-year European project to use more recycled plastics in electronics.
In this free workshop experts of Pezy Group, Fraunhofer IZM, Partners for Innovation and others will provide latest insights on the state of the art of plastics recycling technologies and best practices from product design and market aspects. We want to investigate together with you what information is needed during the different stages of product development and what other current challenges you face when intending to design for sustainable and recyclable solutions.
Could design even influence the users to close the loops and circulate materials back in the system? Finally, we invite you to test our first draft of the “design for recyclability assessment tool” on a practical use case and give valuable feedback so that we can further develop it catering to the real needs of designers and engineers involved in the product design.
The speakers include:
- Jos Vlugter, Consultant Circular Economy at Partners for Innovation)
- Thijs Feenstra (Circular Product Design Lead at Pezy Group)
- Mark-Olof Dirksen (Senior Technical Projectlead Advanced Developments, Materials & Finishings Recycling expert, DfR)
- Tapani Jokinen (Strategic- & Circular- Design Consultant)
- Ronja Scholz (Eco-design & Service Design for a Circular Economy – Expert at Fraunhofer IZM)
- Theresa Aigner (Research Associate at Fraunhofer IZM in Berlin on Sustainability and Circularity in (W)EEE)
