From September 21-25 FSC organises the Forest Week. Held annually, FSC Forest Week is a worldwide campaign to help drive consumer awareness about the importance of responsible forestry. The aim is to inspire these customers to act by choosing FSC-certified products.

As co-owner of the pellet factory in South Africa, ‘Coega Biomass Centre’, we support this campaign. Coega Biomass Centre produces sustainable pellets from Alien Invasive Species. AEPs threaten the water supply and wreaked havoc on the local environment and economy .As a FSC license holder we recognize the pivotal role of responsible forestry in combating ciimate change and biodiversity loss by choosing FCS certified practices.

We are both FSC and SBP, including REDII, certified by Control Union Certifications because it’s crucial to harvest and process these AEP’s in een guaranteed sustainable way.
