Funding and support for clean cooking and off-grid technologies
Clean cooking and transforming household appliances in developing countries is crucial for reaching the Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, companies that are improving access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy and contribute to gender equality can get funding and technical support.
Currently, entrepreneurs in this field can apply for support in two programs:
- The Efficiency for Access fund is supporting off-grid enabling technologies, including electric cooking projects. This R&D fund is meant for UKaid focus countries: parts of Africa, Middle East and Asia. Companies can apply for £ 50,000-300,000. The deadline for this call is March 15, 2020. https://efficiencyforaccess.org/enabling-technologies-call
- In Haiti the Clean Cooking Fund is supporting clean cookstoves and fuels. The Program will provide financial and technical assistance to support the growth of clean cooking companies in Haiti. For studies, pilots, R&D and scaling up business, funding of $ 50,000-250,000 is available. Companies can express their interest before February 9, 2020 https://www.cleancookingalliance.org/funding-opportunities/282.html
