me
Torben Mulder is senior consultant at the Sustainable Land Use team of Partners for Innovation. He graduated as ecologist and worked from 1989 at the Dutch provincial government of Limburg. He started as policy officer of Nature and Spatial Planning and in 1993 he became senior member of the Environmental and Rural Policy.
A number of times Torben drew up the policy papers for the maintenance of the natural environment in the province of Limburg. He also ensured the embedment of nature policy in the environmental planning of Limburg and defined various subsidy schemes for the creation and management of nature in Limburg. In addition he undertook the development of integration of the natural boundaries in Limburg with other spatial interventional measurements, in particular the integration of the gravel extraction and flood control in the Maasdal, the construction of industrial sites and roads near Born and Venlo and the creation of leisure areas in the larger cities of Limburg.
Over the last few years the main focus of Torben was on the European nature policy, both at provincial and national level, and on improving its implementation in The Netherlands.
At Partners for Innovation he will continue using his know-how and competency in this field
