me
Menno Veen is an advisor within the Renewable Energy team, specializing in monitoring and evaluation. Since March 2021, he has served as Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in the GET.invest Finance Catalyst, strengthening the programme’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems and impact measurement. He has designed and implemented MEL guidelines and KPI frameworks, conducted stakeholder satisfaction surveys, prepared semi‑annual and annual reports, and developed tailored dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses. He supported the rollout of the ORACLE-based Delphi database and workflow system, and contributed to stakeholder analysis, communication planning and event evaluation as part of the Amsterdam Coordination Team.
His project work includes designing an MEL framework for an organic waste-to-value initiative in Ghana in 2022, and leading methodology design for the energy component of EnDev’s Demand‑Side Subsidies baseline studies in Liberia, Malawi, Niger and Uganda in 2023. In Uganda (2019–2020), he was principal researcher on IFDC’s REACH‑Uganda project, managing a quantitative impact assessment of over 450 households.
Menno has a MSc degree Management, Economics and Consumer Studies from Wageningen University (2020)
