AgriProFocus Niger
As coordinator of the AgriProFocus network in Niger we set up the campaign: I eat local, and you? The campaign was aimed at introducing the population to locally produced products.
I eat local, and you?
By consuming locally produced products the population can contribute to the development of the local economy. To create more attention and awareness for these products and to increase their consumption, we organised the campaign: I eat local, and you?
We brought together the networks of youth and women involved in food processing. Various training sessions and workshops took place, for example on quality standards and hygiene, marketing of locally produced food and customer loyalty. During pop-up markets the population could also get acquianted with locally produced products. 2000 people visited the 100 stands at the pop-up markets. Also several radio and television debates took place.
