GET.invest sponsors this top annual event, which focuses on accelerating investment in the Caribbean’s energy transition. The programme aligns with regional priorities, addressing issues such us global geopolitical tensions, the urgency of decarbonization, and the quest for energy independence. CREF 2024 is set to convene over 500 attendees from more than 40 countries, including a diverse group of policymakers, utility companies, developers, financiers, and investors from the energy, finance, technology, and industrial sectors.

• Friday, 26 April (11:50) – GET.invest Finance Catalyst Team Leader, Paul van Aalst, will be a panelist in the session Building more bankable projects: preparation for implementation. The panel will discuss the latest trends in financing and investment, examine how is the high interest rate environment impacting access to capital, and share some recommendations to effectively tap into the project preparation facilities available in the market.
• In addition to Paul, CREF 2024 participants will be able to meet with Finance Catalyst advisors Valérie Dorel and Jerry Okoko to discuss and learn more about our advisory work.
